Xero has won this year’s Canstar Blue Small Business Accounting Software Award.
Xero New Zealand and Pacific Islands managing director Craig Hudson – an occasional Bay of Plenty Business News columnist – said Xero’s purpose was to make life better for small businesses, and that he was stoked with the result.
The award was based on the company achieving the highest overall customer-satisfaction ratings nationally.
“We were rated five stars for overall satisfaction and it was found that the biggest drivers were value for money and functionality,” he said.
Canstar Blue is a customer satisfaction research and ratings business aimed at helping consumers make better purchasing decisions. They run an annual independent survey which speaks to hundreds of small businesses across New Zealand to provide a benchmark of quality for accounting software. This is the first time that this award has been given in New Zealand.
Canstar general manager Jose George said the result was a great achievement for Xero.
“Xero is meeting the demand by small business owners for great value for money from their accounting software, along with quality service and advice. Xero scored a very impressive five stars on each of our seven drivers of customer
satisfaction.”
Hudson said the company threw itself into better understanding the challenges and opportunities that small businesses face each day, with the purpose of developing technology that can make their lives easier.
“We are heavily invested in their success and know that our platform streamlines a lot of the time-consuming processes associated with accounting and compliance. It’s absolutely brilliant to see that others recognise this too.”
