Steven Vincent, co-founder of Basestation was coworking long before coworking was a thing. He operated his original office in a “coworking” setting in 1999 – even though he didn’t know that term yet!
The concept allowed him to get his business started; no lease, no overheads, and good connections and advice from the people he was sharing the space with. In 2014 Basestation opened its doors to the entrepreneurial community.
Fast forward nine years and the concept of coworking is now synonymous with Tauranga’s most established dedicated coworking space. Basestation is a place that continues to bring people together to share resources such as hot desks, meetings and office space, as well as a large event facility. The physical space has grown in scale over the years, but what remains unchanged is the community ethos. Steven is proud that people and relationships form the heart of what Basestation is all about.
Basestation fosters the entrepreneurial mindset and welcomes individuals, teams, and companies to experience the benefits that a coworking environment offers.
