Award-winning wellbeing specialist, author and entrepreneur Lauren Parsons has been confirmed as the keynote speaker for the Bay’s 2019 Business Expo’s VIP breakfast forum at Trustpower Baypark on Wednesday 6 March.
Parsons, founder of the Snack on Exercise movement and a TEDx speaker, is noted for her practical time-saving approach to making healthy life habits stick, equipping busy people with tested strategies that work, said organisers.
The Business Expo was launched in 2018 and aims to showcase leading edge businesses, speakers and education under one roof.
Parsons will share ways to thrive in the workplace and super-charge productivity, while achieving balance and wellbeing, said Sharon Giblett, director of Jigsaw Solutions Group and the Business Expo.
“We are delighted Lauren will be the keynote speaker at the 2019 event,” she said.
“We have a long association with Lauren and are excited that exhibitors and VIP guests will experience the wisdom of an international speaker of Lauren’s calibre and experience.”
Originally from New Zealand, Lauren has been posted to Ottawa, Canada for the past two years with her husband, lieutenant-colonel Maurice Parsons and their three children, while her husband served as exchange officer. A working parent who has relocated regularly (eight times in the past 15 years with five international moves), Parsons shares high level strategies and techniques with clients to help them maintain their health, energy and productivity, achieving more with less time, said the organisers.
Her keynote, entitled “Overcoming the overwhelm – how to thrive in a fast-paced world”, will be the first time the prominentconference speaker has presented in Tauranga. Organisers said they expected her session would be highly sought after by business leaders and managers from around the region and beyond.
“With wellbeing playing such a key role in managing workplace culture, health and safety, this event is not to be missed,” said Giblett.
